Connect the “BB5 U’ID box†to the power supply (use 9V power supply). 2. Verify in ‘Device manager’ from your computer, if the device box it is recognized. 3. In order to upgrade your device box please execute the following procedure. Run the program: “bb5_updater.exeâ€. Warning!!: During the upgrade procedure, must be sure the ‘BB5 U’ID box’ will remain connected to the PC till the upgrade it is done. Nokia BB5 UID unlocking box user manual 4. Press ‘Save HW Conf’ button, and wait till procedure will finish. 5. A message: ‘Saving HW configuration data.’ Will be displayed in the program console. 6. Wait few seconds and press ‘Update HW’ button from the program. 7. After the ‘Update HW’ procedure was executed, a message will be displayed in the program console: ‘Write End’. -Wait few second. -Close the ‘bb5_updater.exe’ program. -Restart the ‘BB5 U’ID box’. 8. Connect the selected Phone to a professional DC Power supply (Do not connect yet the phone to the ‘BB5 U’ID box’ device), recommended DC Power supply Voltage to be set up as 4.8 V. 9. Start the ‘BB5_U’ID_box.exe’ program, and select the Phone Model from the list. 10. Press “Init†button from the Program. In the Program console you will see a message: â€BB5 Box connected awaiting commandsâ€. 11. Case no1: Connect the desired Phone model (6630,6680,6681,N70,N72,E60) to the BB5 box, and Power On the phone using the ‘Power On/Off’ button from the program. The Phone State Activity from the program will show you a ‘Busy’ message, and the ‘Unlock’ button will not be available, till the phone will completely boot. 12. Case no2: Connect the desired Phone model (N91,N71,6131,6133,6280, 6288,N95,6125,5200,5300) to the BB5 box, and Power On the phone using the Power On/Off button from the program, also the phone button can be used. The Phone State Activity from the program will show you an ‘N/A’ message. The ‘Unlock’ button will be available by selecting the phone model.
